Sometimes our cosmetics need to be cleaned out just like our closets. Here is a list of the bare essentials to have in your makeup bag. Concealer: Select one for your eyes that is a half-shade lighter than your foundation, to reverse under-eye darkness. Concealing this area is an instant lift! To cover blemishes, choose a concealer that matches your foundation.
Dual Powder Foundation: Get a two-in-one base that provides coverage and finish in one step. Even out your skin tone for the perfect makeup every time! A must for makeup bags!
Mascara: This is an instant eye-opener! Different formulas serve different needs. The wand/brush makes a big difference too! Come to Looking Your Best to try before you buy!
Eye Shadow: Neutral tones are natural and the easiest to use. The lightest shade should be two or three shades lighter than your complexion. Use this shadow on the lid and under the eyebrow to highlight them and give your eye a lift. You'll instantly look less tired and more youthful! The deeper shade should be two or three shades darker than your complexion. This colour is used to softly line the eyes, contour the crease, and in some cases, to use on the lid.
Lip Colour: You will need three essentials: a lipstick you can put on without a mirror; a deeper shade like red or berry; and a lip gloss to use alone or over either of the first two lip colours.
Bronzing Powder: This is THE beauty product to own! Use it alone on clear bare skin for a hint of sun glow. Use it instead of blush for a natural alternative, and use it over blush to warm up colours or to contour facial features at night. A MUST have!
Blush: Even though you may use your bronzer for blush, there will be times that you need a little colour on the apples of your cheeks to freshen up your look or to bring some colour to your face.
